XLIM

XLIM is a Research Institute jointly held by the University of Limoges and CNRS, which involves 350 people: faculty, CNRS researchers and PhD students, conducting research on mathematics, computer science, optics, electromagnetism and electronics. Its main application fields include Defence, Telecom, Spatial, Transports, Health Medicine and Home Automation. XLIM is also at the heart of the ELOPSYS Competitiveness cluster. One of its research themes, developped by the "Realistic Image Synthesis" project, studies 3D rendering techniques for computer graphics, real-time applications, animation and scientific visualization.
